Job Details:
- Our Front Desk operates seven days a week. The Front Office Night Manager will primarily work evening shifts (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), including weekends and public holidays.
- Full time, year-round.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Front Office Night Manager, you will serve as a visible leader during overnight operations, spending the majority of your shift in the hotel lobby and Front Desk areas. This hands-on role involves supporting team members, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring smooth hotel operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Leads the front office team by creating a positive team environment.
- Lead day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.
- Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status.
- Be responsible for and determine the resolution of problems arising from owner/guest concerns with a commitment to satisfying every guest/owner.
- Maintains a positive collaborative work environment between staff and management.
- Prepare and complete Manager on Duty (MOD) reports, documenting key operational updates, guest service issues, incidents, and overnight activities.
- Support and oversee Night Audit processes, ensuring all daily financial transactions are reconciled accurately and completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Night Audit responsibilities, including end-of-day procedures, reporting, system balancing, and issue resolution.
- May be required to perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
What are we looking for:
- 2+ years of Front Desk experience or related experience
- 2-5 years of management or supervisory experience
- Ability to work evening shifts, holidays and weekends
- Prior cash handling and computer experience are required
- Ability to lead each field of the department independently
- Strong guest service and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to professionally and effectively handle guest concerns, complaints, and escalated situations.
