The list includes both U.S. firms and companies with a strong U.S. presence that are based overseas.

Hilton Grand Vacations Announces Soft Opening of Maui Bay Villas

All-suite Oceanfront Resort in Kihei Marks Company’s First Property on Maui, Tenth in Hawaii

KIHEI, Hawaii (November 1, 2021)Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. (NYSE:HGV) is pleased to announce the soft opening of its brand-new oceanfront property, Maui Bay Villas by Hilton Grand Vacations. Located in Kihei, on Maui’s southwest coast, the all-suite luxury resort marks HGV’s first location on the island and tenth property in Hawaii.

With the completion of its first phase, Maui Bay Villas has initially opened 31 suites to Owners and guests, along with a large pool, breathtaking sun deck overlooking Maalaea Bay and fitness center. Each spacious suite features one or two bedrooms, plus a full kitchen, living room and dining area. Progress on the remaining phases is well under way, with buildout anticipated in 2027. Once completed, the resort will encompass a total of 388 villas, a clubhouse, on-site eatery, poolside bar and grill and more than 15 acres of recreational space.

“Maui Bay Villas is one of our most highly anticipated properties and we are thrilled to be able to share our vacation lifestyle and aloha with owners, guests and the Maui community,” said Mark Wang, president and CEO, Hilton Grand Vacations. “HGV is dedicated to being a steward of our environment, a good neighbor to our community, a respected employer, and a phenomenal host. It’s truly a pleasure and honor to open on beautiful Maui.”

In conjunction with construction of Maui Bay Villas, HGV made substantial infrastructure improvements to the local community and nearby roadways including installing new sidewalks and bike lanes, crosswalks with flashing lights, drainage system enhancements, and a landscaped median along South Kihei Road. Two bus shelters for public transit are operating, and new public parking spaces within walking distance of the beach will be added in future phases.

As part of HGV’s company-wide commitment to environmental sustainability, Maui Bay Villas has installed water-efficient appliances in all units and public areas and provided water-filling stations to promote the use of refillable bottles. The company will also avoid single-use plastics in its food service operations when possible; and use environmentally conscious products throughout its operations including in landscaping.

With the guidance of a local arborist, HGV identified scores of trees that had been growing at the site – including more than 80 coconut palms – and had them transplanted to nurseries for care until they could be returned and replanted at the property. The grounds of Maui Bay Villas are landscaped with a variety of locally sourced native and indigenous plants, such as taro, banana and bamboo.

At the helm of Maui Bay Villas is an outstanding local leadership team with extensive experience in Hawaii’s hospitality industry, much of it gained on Maui. General Manager Will Bethel is joined by Jay Corpuz, chief engineer; Shermila Beauvais, director of guest services; Joy Valenzuela, executive housekeeper; and Kyle Eldridge, director of safety and security.

Currently, Maui Bay Villas has approximately 50 full-time positions in its resort operations and is seeking to fill additional roles as it continues to move toward full fruition, including 20 full-time positions in sales, marketing and administration, and eventually, more than 200 full-time hospitality positions. HGV has been recognized numerous times as a top employer and community supporter and invites interested applicants to explore available positions at https://careers.hgv.com.

In addition to Maui Bay Villas’ resort positions, some 170 to 200 local construction jobs were created during the project’s first phase of construction, with another 110 to 140 construction jobs expected to be needed during the remaining phases.

In accordance with local health guidelines, HGV celebrated the Maui Bay Villas’ soft opening with a small, private Hawaiian blessing. A larger grand opening is tentatively being planned for next year.

In the meantime, consistent with its long-standing history of corporate philanthropy across its footprint, HGV is working to establish and extend its community support efforts on Maui. Initial plans include developing an employee ride-sharing program, resort recycling program, and employee food drives in addition to hosting beach clean-ups.

Hilton Grand Vacations Debuts $50 Million Resort Transformation in NYC

The Quin by Hilton Club Re-opens Following Year-Long Renovation

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 28, 2021) – Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. (NYSE:HGV) which pioneered the urban timeshare concept in New York City, is raising the bar once again with a new flagship property, The Quin by Hilton Club. The Quin, located on “Billionaire’s Row” at the corner of Sixth Avenue and 57th Street, re-opened on June 28, 2021, as a best-in-class timeshare property following an over $50 million top-to-bottom renovation. The Quin’s transformation, combined with HGV’s anticipated summer 2021 opening of The Central at 5th by Hilton Club, located on East 48th Street, demonstrates HGV’s commitment to New York and the increasingly significant role of timeshare in the city’s hospitality industry.

“Our investments in The Quin by Hilton Club and The Central at 5th by Hilton Club signal our confidence in the rebounding travel industry and long-term demand for timeshare ownership in NYC and beyond,” said Mark Wang, president and CEO of Hilton Grand Vacations. “The timeshare business model continuously proves itself to be remarkably resilient during challenging times, just as New York City itself has proved resilient on so many occasions – emerging stronger than ever after each time. We’re proud to expand our diverse property portfolio in the nation’s cultural and financial capital.”

Urban timeshare has become increasingly popular nationwide, particularly in NYC, where HGV transformed the industry by offering deeded ownership at upscale locations with superior amenities. Now, owners seeking a “pied-à-terre” in Manhattan have a brand-new option located just steps from Central Park, backed by industry pioneer HGV.

In 2003, HGV became the first major hospitality brand to open a timeshare property in New York City with The Hilton Club – New York. Since then, the company has consistently elevated the quality of timeshare offerings within the industry and in NYC itself, opening West 57th Street by Hilton Club in 2009 and The Residences by Hilton Club in 2018. Now, HGV is setting a new standard for the industry, with sales underway at The Quin, a world-renowned vacation spot.

Lisa Dusart, SVP of sales and marketing at Hilton Grand Vacations, commented, “Hilton Grand Vacations has been a part of the fabric of the hospitality industry in New York for many years and at this crucial juncture for the city, our role may be more vital than ever before. Our timeshare owners are eager to return to New York, and we’re just as eager to welcome them — now with two new options in the heart of midtown Manhattan.”

HGV purchased The Quin in 2018 for over $175 million and has recently invested more than $50 million in renovations to the storied luxury property. The transformed urban icon features 212 studios and one- and two-bedroom timeshare suites, a private owners’ lounge, fitness center and restaurant. In addition, the newly expanded 18th and 19th floors include dramatic penthouse suites with outdoor terraces.

The Quin’s location, amenities, service, and a legacy of artistic inspiration make for an unparalleled ownership experience. The new spaces offer an intimate, residential feel evocative of an elegant Manhattan pied-à-terre. Bold modern elements and custom-designed furniture are juxtaposed to the understated classic style, creating an environment of forward-looking luxury. Artwork specially created for The Quin by Nick Walker and curated by DK Johnston extends the artistic legacy of this iconic property. HGV worked with two design firms on this project including the New York-based interior design firm, Bill Rooney Studio, Inc., and ForrestPerkins, a distinct design studio of Perkins Eastman, a global architecture firm.

Besides welcoming its first timeshare owners, The Quin will continue to offer overnight accommodations to leisure and business travelers booking via Hilton.com. All owners and guests will value the assurance of Hilton CleanStayä — an enhanced standard of cleanliness and disinfection being implemented at properties worldwide. Hilton CleanStay builds on an already high level of housekeeping and hygiene efforts to allow HGV owners and guests an even cleaner and safer stay from check-in to check-out.

The Quin by Hilton Club affords guests and owners access to the very heart of New York. The property is set just two blocks from Central Park, across the street from Carnegie Hall and near the best of Fifth Avenue shopping and leading cultural institutions from MoMA to Lincoln Center. The Quin’s re-opening and launch as HGV’s flagship NYC timeshare property comes just as the city itself fully reopens, promising an exciting new chapter for the storied property.

The boutique-style lounge features an original light fixture in the shape of an organic tree branch with 13 lights to represent the 13 original colonies and a brass live oak tree replica of the Liberty Tree is mounted in the entryway.

The attention to detail continues in well-appointed studios and one-and two-bedroom suites. Premier units include balconies, and suites offer full kitchens and separate living areas.

Liberty Place is HGV’s fifth property developed in collaboration with South Carolina-based Strand Capital Group, LLC.

“The opening of Liberty Place Charleston by Hilton Club is a milestone to be celebrated,” said Loyd Daniel, managing partner of Strand Capital Group. “We are pleased to continue to work with the entire Hilton Grand Vacations team and look forward to entering the Charleston market together.”

In line with HGV’s commitment to incorporating the local essence in each property, the company worked with the Columbia, S.C.-based architecture and design firm
Garvin Design Group to harness the historical elements of Charleston and add a stylish flair. HGV and Garvin Design Group have worked on nine projects together, earning several project design accolades.

“With the abundance of history that permeates throughout Charleston, we aspired to build a bridge between visitors and residents living right next door,” said Mark Timbes, a principal of Garvin Design Group. “This location was once a rallying point for residents, and the symbolism of a creating a public gathering point was not lost on us in the design process. The fact that we’ve been able to take a private property and give it back to the neighborhood is very important.”

Resort amenities include a public lobby bar, owners’ lounge, fitness center and grab-and-go market.

Positioned within walking distance of the South Carolina Aquarium, The Battery and plentiful dining, shopping and entertainment options, Liberty Place is a picture-perfect base from which to explore the quintessential city of Charleston.
