The Senior Accountant Role for the Capital Accounting Team is vital to maintaining all Fixed Assets as well as the Capital Expenditure Requests and Projects within the company at Hilton Grand Vacations. The capital invoices are reviewed, organized, and sent to AP from this position. Also, the International Fixed Asset Roll Forwards monthly and Year to Date files are prepared and reconciled by this Accountant Role. Communication between the company and internal team for all things asset related is key for this position. Analytics, Reconciliations, and Journal Entries are prepared for the intangibles, fixed assets, and other Balance Sheet and Income State Account Activities.
Performs accounting functions associated with the recording of transactions and production of financial statements for assigned business units, including general accounting, payable, cash & credit card, leases, debt, intangibles and fixed assets. Provide accounting support to various shared services departments. Prepare journals entries daily and prepare account reconciliations monthly. Attend meetings as needed. Provide variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement monthly for assigned areas. Assist in preparation and review of payment transactions.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and record journal entries per established policy related to assigned entities
- Assist the leadership team in performing monthly closings process
- Prepare accruals monthly
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations related to assigned entities. Resolve correcting entries for balancing items.
- Prepare bank reconciliations to clear outstanding items
- Prepare debt schedules monthly including reconciliations and financial statement footnote support
- Maintain and monitor various schedules as required by management
- Assists co-team members and internal customers with financial information

To fulfill this role successfully, you possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- 3-5 years related experience
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of automated accounting systems
- Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekend and/or Holidays
- College Degree in Accounting/Finance
