What Will I be Doing?
The Manager Yield Management maximizes inventory usage in the best interest of the organization to enable the achievement of Sales and Marketing goals while maintaining ownership liabilities.
- Effectively implements any and all policies at the site level as set forth by leadership.
- Serves as the primary liaison between property-level management and the Yield Management team, supporting reservations and inventory functions.
- Supervises the Resort Inventory Supervisor working on behalf of the managed resorts.
- Manages a group of resorts in specified regions.
- Maximizes space utilization to ensure achievement of budget goals while maximizing occupancy, revenue, arrivals, and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- Maximizes sales potential by analyzing reports and making decisions to achieve budgeted sales goals.
- Allocates within liabilities to support various owner and developer programs; reconciles owner and developer team member liabilities.
- Trains front desk on the inventory liabilities.
- Maintains owner exchange process via system automation.
- Ensures fair and equal trading practices are maintained and abided by the team member with authorized access.
- Responsible for setting bulk out-of-order placements and reconciling owner liabilities related to out of order (OOO) placements affecting owner liability.
- Assists in establishing yearly occupancy and revenue budgets for home owner’s association (HOA) and sales and marketing.
- Forecasts future business within three to five percent (3-5%) accuracy on a monthly basis.
- Works closely with the Sales and Marketing departments in an effort to meet budget and develop contingency plans when the budget is not achievable.
- Reviews future occupancy (to update availability, rates, monitoring blocks, group pick-up, etc.) on a daily basis, makes decisions to open or close out dates based on occupancy and/or overbooking strategy.
- Grants permissions to property level team members once required training is completed.
- Performs training sessions and property presentations at Company and non-Company call centers.
- Develops growth plan (succession training) with Resort Inventory Supervisor.
- Establishes yearly goals with direct reports and gives feedback on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for being readily available to provide assistance to properties with any questions and/or problem resolution issues in a positive manner.
- Communicate with other departments on strategies to drive arrivals.
- Communicates with management concerning dates for periodic membership discounting.
- Communicates with management to make rate adjustments based on special events, market demands, and trends.
- Works closely with resort managers at assigned resorts in order to address occupancy needs, new programs, reservation issues, and establishing an overbooking plan.
- Performs one-on-one and group trainings on site with property management and team members.
- Makes critical decisions on space management that will help drive occupancy, revenue, and arrivals to achieve budget goals and assist sales reach sales goals.
- Completes all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
- Adheres to company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
