This position will provide consultative guidance and support high-volume recruiting business operations. The role includes screening, interviewing, collecting pre-employment requirements, scheduling face-to-face interviews with hiring managers, and facilitating the new hire process.
In addition, they will communicate updates related to talent acquisition activity with hiring managers and key stakeholders. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will help drive the Talent Acquisition team to meet business needs and deliver the best talent to contribute to the organization’s continuous growth.
Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
• Responsible for fulfilling staffing plans for high-volume business operations across multiple requisitions through building strong business partnerships with department leaders.
• Partners and coaches hiring managers on best practices with recruiting interviewing and retention including providing one-on-one support with reviewing resumes, and interviewing questions/techniques.
• Attends or assists in participating in weekly staffing meetings.
• Educates hiring managers on new hire assessment interpretations.
• Assists with tracking recruiting reporting metrics such as staffing reports and dashboards, and conducting turnover analyses.
• Tracks and monitors expenses related to 3rd party staffing partner activity.
• Assists with offer letter preparation.
• Conducts event planning for career nights, in-house job fairs, and other onsite hiring activities.
• Assists with the development and refinement of job descriptions.
• Opens job requisitions in Applicant Tracking System (ATS), posts internal announcements
• Posts positions to the appropriate job boards
• Coordinates registrations, interview space, logistics, and communications for on and off-site events
• Follows up with candidates via email and phone to schedule and confirm interview appointments, request application and assessment completion, notification of status, etc.
• Supports the Talent Acquisition team with various aspects of full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, application/assessment collection, scheduling face-to-face interviews with hiring manager, initiating offers).
• Ensures that interview notes are collected and prepared for all candidates
• Assists with conducting/overseeing the processing of new hire background checks and drug screens as a backup to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
• Tracks, oversees, and promotes the employee referral program.
• Assists with establishing relationships with relevant colleges, universities, and trade schools to support staffing needs.
• Provides support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
• Recommends the placement of and initiates offers for sales and management candidates in the effort to achieve staffing objectives.
• Follows the established recruitment process, develops recruitment plans for their designated business partners, employs traditional sourcing strategies and resources, and makes recommendations for innovative ways to attract and source top talent.
What are we looking for:
This position requires you to be On-Site
2-3 years of experience in recruiting/staffing, conducting phone or in-person interviews, working in applicant tracking systems – previous Call/Contact center or other volume hiring experience preferred
Previous experience recruiting for non-exempt and exempt positions
Must operate with a high level of integrity – ability to handle confidential information in a professional and data-safe manner
Experience with scheduling, interviewing, and pre-employment assessment tools as well as navigating Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Shown ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to make decisions under high pressure and changing priorities – Ability to learn quickly and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong persuasive, influencing, and decision-making abilities
Independent, proactive, and able to take initiative to solve problems
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint required
Strong work ethic and passion for delivering outstanding levels of service
Must have availability to work flexible hours
Some local and regional travel may be required.
