The Director of Business Operations leads all aspects of operational and financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for Direct Sales operations. Responsibilities include preparing budgets, analyzing performance, and developing strategies with Sales and Marketing leadership. This role also involves managing the Direct Sales Quality Assurance Team and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
What will you be doing as a Team Member:
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand and support strategic and operational needs.
- Adapt quickly to market trends and opportunities to achieve company goals.
- Be flexible and responsive to new business needs and high-priority initiatives.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and maintain open communication about priorities and achievements.
- Ensure optimal performance of all sales and marketing processes.
- Keep marketing projects within budget and forecasted numbers.
- Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts and reports.
- Evaluate yearly efficiencies and trends to create accurate budgets.
- Monitor and track marketing performance metrics consistently.
- Continuously seek and find opportunities for performance and process improvements.
- Report market performance trends that impact production, costs, and financial goals.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure effective compensation plans and their financial impact.
- Coordinate and enhance marketing operations and performance analytics.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain proper internal controls.
- Regularly audit sales and marketing reports for relevance and accuracy.
- Work closely with Accounting to ensure proper use of accounting methods and compliance.
- Justify and validate financial needs for capital expenditures.
- Attend and present at financial and executive meetings as needed.
- Provide financial information and support for month-end, quarter-end, and annual closings.
Qualifications:
To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ of demonstrated ability working with senior executives
- At least 5 years of management and supervisory experience
- 8+ years of experience in business finance or business analysis
- 7+ years in a role focused on performance and process improvement opportunities
