Schedule Details:
The Front Desk operates seven days a week. The role of Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor involves working various shifts, which may include weekends and public holidays. In this position, you will be required to work two days as a Night Auditor and three days as a Front Desk Clerk.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Front Office duties and is the overnight guest service agent.
- Follows proper audit procedures to balance daily revenue and expense transactions
- Identifies the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner, produces various reports for management and takes initiative to correct errors to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensures that all charges have been properly posted to the appropriate guest folio or master account, balanced with all supporting documentation
- Reconciles all charges to the general ledger and prepares back-up files and closes out shift and day on reservation system, including preparing system for next day of business.
- Responsible for accurate management of cash funds and daily shift deposits and compiles daily revenue reports and files work accordingly.
- Performs all Front desk duties including check-in, check-out and cashier procedures in a proper and efficient manner.
- Assists with other departmental duties as stated by leadership.
Key Skills and experience:
- High School diploma/GED
- 1 year Auditing experience
- 1 year of Front Desk experience
- Previous experience with cash handling
- Anticipates customer needs and thinks about how work impacts them.
- Builds confidence in self and others with honest and dependable interactions.
- Must be adaptable to working a variety of shifts, including on weekends as well as holidays.
