What will I be doing?
The Manager – Common Ground is responsible for maintaining the entire HGVC facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with the energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of the landscaping and guest areas to maintain an attractive property. Manage all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects. Schedule Details:
Maintenance & Engineering Departments operates 7 days per week. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, and Full Availability based on Business Needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Planning, supervising and leading the landscape & pool team members and contractors engaged in landscape preservation, restoration, construction, pool maintenance and management.
• Support the restoration and maintenance of the property as well as other departments & assist the Maintenance team as needed.
• Responsible for overseeing the year-round daily operations of the Common Areas, under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.
• Provides hands-on leadership with special projects, installation and maintenance of the landscape & pool operations.
• Manage landscape and pool team members, and contractors to ensure the proper, efficient and timely completion of department responsibilities.
• Work in the field and sometimes in the office, providing hands-on completion of work as a mentor and an example for the rest of the team and other departmental duties.
• Daily inspection of landscape & pool areas to ensure overall presentation and condition of grounds/gardens and pools that meets standards and quality expectations.
• Prioritize horticultural tasks and coordinate implementation of work assignments with the team.
• Assist in preparation of work schedules and job assignments.
• Examine potential unsafe working conditions and determine any corrective action.
• Identify staff training needs and assist with development of training programs, including plant care and maintenance, pool operations, proper use of tools and equipment, safety, etc.
• Share work with the Chief Engineer for events as well as being available for special situations.
• As a manager, attend meetings as necessary, including but not limited to managers’ meetings, committee meetings and planning sessions.
• In the absence of the Chief Engineer will serve a liaison to assist in the Engineering Department to cover Room Technicians, Pools and Landscape.
• Assist with the Common Area Budget/Checkbook, and insure contracts and invoices are maintained and Paid on a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• 3 more years in related experience
• 3 more years in Supervisory experience
• A flexible Work Schedule includes weekends and public holidays
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions
• CPR/First Aid
• Hotel or Timeshare experience
