What Will I be Doing?
The Paralegal is a talented, experienced problem-solver, who provides legal and compliance support in two core areas; Contract & Administration and Ethics, Corporate Compliance & Privacy.
Additional Responsibilities include:
In support of the Contract Review and Administration function, this position will:
- Process vendor contract requests including reviewing, drafting, editing and redlining a variety of supplier and service contracts through the company’s contract lifecycle management tool.
- Coordinate with Procurement department for bidding and vendor selection matters.
- Maintain and update contractual records, templates, changes, status reports, and other information as needed.
- Support various business units on contract needs and use of CLM.
- Complete special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners and escalate issues as appropriate.
In support of the Ethics, Corporate Compliance and Privacy functions, this position will:
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring the Company operates and complies with internal policies directing corporate governance.
- Ensure existing regulatory and corporate policies are maintained, updated, translated, published and related and requisite training is provided.
- Monitor and report on various compliance and data privacy matters including training compliance, complaint/hotline reporting, customer complaints, conflict of interest examinations, and similar.
- Work on a range of data protection and privacy matters programs including supporting data subject access requests, working directly with various teams to ensure compliance with data protection projects, supporting administration of data breaches.
- Collaborate with business partners and escalate issues as appropriate.
What are we looking for?
- High school/GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required along with the ability to clearly articulate the importance of compliance and motivating others to prioritize compliance.
- 4 years contract review & administration experience required.
- Must be administratively strong, detailed oriented, and well organized.
- Computer Proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and be able to shift focus to different tasks under set time constraints or time limits.
- Proficient typing of at least 30 wpm.
