Food & Beverage Assistant

A Food and Beverage Assistant is responsible for working in all areas of Food and Beverage as needed to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while working to achieve departmental targets.

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you are responsible for working in all areas of Food and Beverage as needed to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Food and Beverage Assistant will also be required to take and deliver customer orders and work to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar and Restaurant
• Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
• Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
• Ensure compliance of brand standards
• Strive to achieve departmental targets
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Comply with local licensing laws
• Be environmentally aware
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationship

Qualifications – External

A Food and Beverage Assistant is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
• Excellent grooming standards
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work on your own or in teams

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous Food and Beverage and/or industry experience
• Experience with cash handling
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations

We made history at the 2025 American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Awards Program by securing an HGV-record-breaking 18 awards, celebrating our resorts and Team Members. For the third straight year, HGV also earned two prestigious ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) Awards. The distinguished ACE Culture and Belonging Award celebrates our pledge to “Putting People First,” while Maui Bay Villas, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club captured the coveted ACE Resort of the Year Award, honoring our incredible Hawaii team. Guided by our commitment to mālama and #HGVServes, a group of Waikoloa Team Members lent their time and effort to prepare and serve 741 meals to those in need. The team also helped at the church's thrift store, sorting donations and organizing the space. We're proud to make a positive impact and strengthen our bond with the Waimea community. "Serving is what our teams do best, and we're always thrilled when we're able to serve those in our communities," said Freddy L., general manager of Ocean Tower. "These are our neighbors and community members who take care of us everyday, so we're eager to be able to do the same for them and provide warm meals. This is the second time we're supporting St. James, and we look forward to doing it many more times."

In honor of Women’s History Month, Hilton Grand Vacations proudly partnered with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County for their 15th Annual Women’s Build. As part of this initiative, #HGVServes volunteers worked on landscaping, planted a tree and helped lay sod to support a local woman and her family in their journey towards homeownership. This marks our fourth year participating in the Women’s Build, continuing our ongoing commitment to empowering women and giving back to our communities. It was an honor to join HGV’s Women’s Team Member Resource Group (TMRG) and fellow Team Members to make a meaningful impact and celebrate the power of coming together to build a brighter future.
