In your role as Director of Food and Beverage you will be responsible for ensuring that the expectations of our owners and guests, along with HGV standards, are consistently met and exceeded. This role provides guidance to the F&B leadership team on staff and guest interactions, training, supervision, and the delivery and presentation of food and beverage services. The goal is to achieve the highest levels of productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Provides coaching and counseling to team members in accordance with company policies. Schedules team members to align with business needs.
- Ensures all departmental activities are performed within the guidelines of appropriate policies and procedures and that all food and beverage Team Members are trained in food quality, sanitation, safety, departmental/resort policies and procedure and guest/owner service standards.
- Plans and develops procedures to improve operations. Establishes work priorities and departmental goals.
- Supports the GM with monthly forecasts and year-end financial reports of revenues, control of payroll and preparation of the yearly budget. Monitors expenditures to assure cost of goods sold and operating expenses are managed according to budget. Responds to monthly financial variances.
- Actively participates in daily F&B operations to assist with workload and address guest and owner inquiries related to F&B, retail, and resort services. Resolves issues arising from guest/owner concerns, inventory and supply challenges, staffing problems, and other unique requests and inquiries.
- Assist the GM to complete any capital projects in a timely manner within budget and make recommendations for following year requirements for retail.
- Maintains effective communication and coordination of F&B activities with other departments to ensure all standards are met in the areas of productivity. Ensures at the end of each shift that all F&B team members have completed daily checklists and shift closings are accurate.
- Develops menus and food & beverage marketing strategies, including the implementation of new seasonal menus and initiatives to drive revenue. Stays updated on marketing techniques, promotions, and emerging trends in restaurant and bar operations.
- Analyzes cost and revenue reports to forecast and make decisions to ensure profit maximization.
- Ability to handle additional tasks as needed or assigned by leader.
What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Food & Beverage/Restaurant experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- Servsafe Manager Certification
- Alcohol Awareness Training Certification
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous hotel/hospitality F&B experience
- Experience in handling operations operating under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
