Responsibilities Include:
- Training, and supervising kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and line cooks.
- Assist in managing employee schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Overseeing food production, ensuring that dishes are prepared according to recipes and meet quality standards.
- Assisting in menu development and recipe testing.
- Conducting regular quality checks to ensure that food is cooked and presented properly.
- Addressing any food quality issues promptly.
- Assisting in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Monitoring food costs and implementing strategies to minimize waste.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
- Implementing and maintaining food safety procedures.:
- Overseeing daily kitchen operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Embodies the Hilton Grand Vacations Values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Now,
- Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Skills and responsibilities:
- A sous chef needs a combination of culinary expertise, management skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to assist in menu planning and development.
- Mastery of a wide range of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and braising.

ServSafe Food Handling Certification or similar.

Health Card – must be state/county-specific.

Food Handler’s Card – must be state/county-specific.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- 1 year management or supervisory experience.
