We are seeking to hire an Engineering (Maintenance) Manager at Innsbruck Aspen Resort, a 17-key resort property in the heart of Aspen.
Compensation ranges start at $65,000 annually plus a 10% annual bonus. Relocation assistance available as needed.

What will I be doing?
The Maintenance and Engineer Manager is responsible for maintaining the entire HGV facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with the energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of the landscaping and guest areas to maintain an attractive property. Handle all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects.
- Conducts a regular walk-through to visually assess the physical structure(s) of the building. The assessments are to evaluate the level of safety, efficient maintenance, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
- Assigns and verifies completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms, outlets, back of the house spaces and grounds repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
- Hires, trains, supervise and disciplines all staff.
- Adheres to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls to include all outside contractor bids, budgets and schedules.
- Maintains effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs, conducting special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy at the property.
- Informs the General Manager and other department managers, on a regular basis, regarding the specific and overall condition of the property, structure(s), related systems and equipment offering prudent, and cost-effective proposals for maintaining same.
- Immediately available to report to the property in the event of any emergency.
- Perform other duties as requested, such coordination and supervision of special guest requests for room and/or meeting space modification, construction of props for special functions and employee relations’ events.
What are we looking for?

At the core of our company’s success are our Team Members. To fulfill this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- At least five years of experience as journey mechanic or engineer with a class A hotel company or related industry.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Director or Assistant Director/Chief Engineer in the same or similar environment.
- Graduation from an apprenticeship and/or advanced training program for operating engineers recognized by the industry and trade or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
- Considerable knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to analyze their design intent and performance.
- Ability to analyze trends in utility consumption to ensure proper energy forecasting and to set up energy conservation programs.
- Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
It would be advantageous to have the following:
- General practical experience in the fields of stationary engineering, building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders and rooftops, and in adverse weather conditions.
- Considerable knowledge of construction and building systems.
- Ability to analyze trends in utility consumption to ensure proper energy forecasting and to set up energy conservation programs.
